Estee lauder silver porcelain powder mini compact on chain pocket watch antique
Estee lauder vintage - ive left this more or less in original condition but if you look carefully at photos - you will see ive removed some of the tarnish off the outer sides of the case. IF you would prefer to receive this cleaned to look like sparkling new - please let me know - many people prefer old things like this in the vintage condition and enjoy restoring them personally. This is in amazing condition and has very lightly engraved letters on one side - i think its hmt - can barely see the letters as its so lightly done but they could also be altered quite easily or turned into a design. This is original estee lauder powder compact in chunky silver metal and designed like a fob watch - closes with an amazing deep sounding clunk.
The mirror inside measures 45mm approx and is a handy size - the edges of the case inside around the powder are engraved - estee lauder london paris new york - the mirror is in perfect mint condition with no damage to the backing and no chips or cracks. The hinge allows this compact to be opened flat and is also perfect condition. The powder is very lightly used condition - virtually only a few puffs on the little powder puff - i dont know the name of the shade of powder but its very light - porcelain type colour for fair skin - still retains a really lovely light scented smell and the powder seems silky - really beautiful - the compact puff is also perfect but it does have some traces of powder on it - if you want i can wash this to remove - the puff seems like its made from light cream velvet and is very luxurious - on the top of the puff there is a thick silver metallic foil backing and this has EL signed in cobalt blue - also perfect - - to complete this gorgeous set there is a clear plastic type of cover on the powder with estee lauder signature in white lettering - - this is a little damaged at edge but nothing really. Its got a large ring and has a long silver chain which is part of the item - no clasp but has a large ring part way along - its meant to be like this and it could be doubled up to shorten or even attached to a belt chain or used as a handbag charm - handy to have your powder there for a quick touch up - really quite luxurious and delightful item to own.
The weight with the chain is approx 67.9 grammes and without chain is 55.5 grammes so its heavy item. The closed compact measures approx 55. 10mm thicck approx 50 / 55 mm taken from the edge of the top lid and the large ring at the top is 17mm across approx.
Have been a collector all my life but ill health means i need to make space so i can more easily care for myself and my home there are lots of true original vintage clothes such as biba armani gucci karen millen 1960s and 1970s my favourites. Silk & leather some of the items have been in storage and will be sent out as i find them, so washing of anything old is advised / if it can go in the washing machine it will have been laundered / i did not ever collect damaged or defective items so most are in truly excellent condition but anything of note will be mentioned so no surprises when you get them.
